If you thought this how to hospital flip article wuld be about how to really quickly change hospitals you were wrong. Haha. This article is actually about skating - or, more specifically, skateboarding. ...And the hospital flip is a skateboard trick.
The hospital flip is actually kind of a kickflip -- only, half through, you use your foot to catch the board; then you spin the board for a shuv it. Commonly, people mistake this trick for being casper flip. Actually, that isn't that strange, though - as the tricks are exactly the same; only different feet are used to flip the board.
Okay, let's go into how to hospital flip. First you are going to go into kickflip position. Of course, this necessitates that you actually know how to do a kickflip (no, you're not going to complete a kickflip - but you ARE going to make half a kickflip; which will be pretty hard if you can't do the whole thing). Don't care about how the back foot is positioned, at this point -- but only pop the board.
Now, pop down board -- and then initiate kickflip. Don't flick it hard. The front foot also needs to be on the board. What you can do, to get the way to do a half kickflip into your backbone, is to actually just do the half kickflip over and over (and, at the end of it, catch it with the front foot; which would be what you would be doing in the actual hospital flip, right).
When the board is caught by foot, you're going to want to prepare the shuv it. Do that. At this point, the more board control you have - the better it is. The reason for this is that you really want to be able to get the board EXACTLY where you want it for the initiation of the shuv it part of the hospital flip.
You fully manage how to hospital flip if you have done the "entire" half kickflip before initiating the shuv it (instead of beginning the shuv it in mid kickflip). Of course, you don't have to get it perfectly right the first time you do -- but why not try? What I have found - in many other areas of life - is that when you do aim high, you achieve highly. Aiming high isn't setting yourself up for disappointment - and the reason is that, if you do aim high enough, you're going to tap into that inner passion, or whatever, that just DRAWS you to doing whatever necessary to achieve your goal.
Land. Now you're done. I hope the how to hospital flip guide has benefitted you.
