Skateboarding is a sport of maneuvering a skateboard and doing tricks on skateboard ramp with or without ice (snowboarding). The concept and evolution of skateboard and skateboarding has its origin from surfboard and surfing. Skateboarding started in late 1940 or in early 1950. Snowboarding has been introduced in 1998.Winter Olympics. There is a high chance of including skateboarding in 2010 Summer Olympics in London. The modern day skateboarding has started evolving with the invention of trick ‘Ollie' by Alan Ollie Gelfand in1976. In 1982 Mullen introduced Kickflip, 360 deg. Kickflip. Kickflip is 360 deg. Pop and shove it.           

I hope one remembers snowboarding event at Winter Olympic 2010 and the halfpipe gold medal won by Shaun White of USA. It was a colorful and spectacular event. Skateboarding and snowboarding has become popular sports worldwide. Many types of new skateboarding and snowboarding tricks are being invented and introduced regularly. It is now also a professional sport. Skate and snowboarding industry are big businesses and employ lot of persons. Ollie, Shove it, Pop and shove it, fake shove it, and Frontflip Shove it are basic tricks of skateboarding. Tips for how to do the basic tricks are described below:

When a skateboard tail is pushed by a foot and put in motion by the skater a reaction force on the wheels of the skate pushes the skate in the upward direction. And sliding motion of a foot up the along the skateboard gives a forward motion.

            . Ollie:  rear     ß-------------à  front    

                        . Put the rear foot on the rear tail and front foot near the front bolt  

                          of the skateboard.

                        . See that you feel the pressure on rear foot when rear tail is

                          pushed. And there is forward motion when front foot is

                           dragged in the forward direction.

                        . Jump off pushing the tail by rear foot and giving the skating a

                          forward motion by dragging the front foot. The skate along with

                          both feet are in the air.

            . Come down on the ground and move away.

. how to shove it on a sateboard: 

                        . Put the rear foot curved with heel off the skate on the rear bolt

                          and front foot near the forward front tail of the skateboard.

                         . See that you feel the pressure on front foot when front tail is

                           pushed. 

                        . Jump off pushing the tail (non all the way) by front foot and

                          giving the skating a skidding anticlockwise motion by the rear

                          foot. The skateboard turns 180 deg and both feet are in the air and

                          off the skate.

            . Come down, place both feet on the skateboard and move away.

. Pop and Shove it:

            . Same as Shoving except pushing the tail all the way and jump off

               as high as possible..

. Fake Pop and Shove it:

            . Same as Ollie except turn 180 deg when both feet are in the air.

. Frontflip Shove it:

            . Same as Ollie except jump off at high speed and go as high as

              possible.

             . Push the front tail and move the feet out of the way.

            . When the front and rear tails are in proper position come down.
